  3. 2017 marks the year two of the greatest patriarchs of Armenian stamps passed away. First Zakiyan and now Ray. I still remember the time when I visited Ray and enjoyed talking to him and his wife. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family. Rays work is among the most important sources for Armenian philately (and others) and will be remembered for a long time.
    Rest in peace Ray!

  4. I was invited to Ray's house @ 1993, spending a delightful summers afternoon pouring over part of his vast civil war collection. A wonderful, warm-hearted man who encouraged me to venture into new collecting fields which I never regretted. Sleep peacefully, Ray.
